Victoria police arrested a man Monday morning after he allegedly threatened people, blocked a road and damaged several vehicles, two city trees and a glass door.
Police responded to multiple reports just before 7:30 a.m. of a man ripping branches off a tree in the 700-block of Fisgard Street and trying to hit a passerby with them. He was also reported to have chased other people and threatened them with violence.
The man was also reported to have pushed a dumpster into the roadway on Fisgard.
Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, who was located near the intersection of Blanshard and North Park streets.
Recommended charges include one count of uttering threats and five counts of mischief.
