The Nanaimo Film Office and the Harbour City Photography Club are pleased to announce a movie location photo contest on until Oct. 16.
The aim of the contest is to help the Nanaimo Film Office establish a comprehensive digital image bank of movie locations and beauty shots of the Nanaimo area. Submitted photos will be used to promote the Nanaimo area to the international film and television industry via print and electronic promotional materials, advertisements, web galleries, website marketing etc.
The contest is open to professional and amateur photographers (18 year of age and older) in the Nanaimo area, from Lantzville to Cassidy. Contest winners will be announced at a film industry 'meet-n-greet" 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct.26, at The Old City Station Pub. One prize will be awarded in each of the two categories: Movie Location Panoramas and Single Beauty Shots.
