Do you live in the municipality where you are running, and if so, for how long? If not, what is your connection to that community?

The younger generations of my extended family live in Colwood and Langford, and I graduated from Belmont Secondary.

Our family moved to South 91原创 Island from Bella Coola 40 years ago.

What is your occupation, and for how long?

I’ve worked as a public servant in various roles for over 15 years, with Parks Canada, the Legislative Assembly of BC and other public sector employers.

Tell us about your previous elected and/or community experience.

I have community experience with non-profit organizations supporting arts, culture and recreation.

Why are you running? What’s your motivation?

I noticed there was a gender imbalance on the Colwood council!

What are your top three issues?

• Affordable housing options for lower- and middle-income households

• Sustainable development that preserves green spaces and is resilient to climate change

• Infrastructure improvements and innovations, especially related to transportation and waste water management

What’s your vision for your community in 25 years?

A West Shore that is inclusive, cooperative and resilient to the effects of climate change.

What’s one “big idea” you have for your community?

Establishing a park and native plant garden at 339 Wale Road to serve as a community hub and to preserve a stand of mature Garry oak trees.
