May 9 B.C. election: What you need to know

When is theÌýelection? The election is scheduled for May 9; the writ is to be dropped on April 11. When can I vote? Advance voting is scheduled for April 29 and 30, and May 3, 4, 5 and 6. Advance voting places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

When is theÌýelection?

The election is scheduled for May 9; the writ is to be dropped on April 11.

When can I vote?

Advance voting is scheduled for April 29 and 30, and May 3, 4, 5 and 6. Advance voting places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ÌýAll voters can vote at any advance voting place, and all advance voting places are wheelchair accessible.

General voting day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9. Voting places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voting is also available at any from when an election is called to 4 p.m. on general voting day.

Voters can ask for a vote by mail package from before an election is called until 4 p.m. on general voting day. Packages can be requested using the Ìýor by calling 1-800-661-8683.

Where do I vote?

Voting locations will be assigned after the writ is dropped on May 9. They'll be available on the B.C. Elections .

You can check whether you are registered to vote at the Elections B.C. .

Who am I voting for?

91Ô­´´ Island has 14 ridings. Voters cast ballots for the candidates running in their riding. Candidates’ names and party affiliations will be printed on the ballot.

The deadline for candidates to file their nomination papers is April 18. You can find the list of people who have file their nomination papers .

What riding do I live in?

Go to . In the desktop version, type your full address into the search field in the upper right corner, then the return key. A list of addresses will appear in a column to the left. Select your address from that list. A map will appear showing your riding. On the mobile version, touch the arrow at the upper right to get the search field to appear. Or, call up .
