Re: 鈥淒og fur has fewer germs than men鈥檚 beards: study,鈥 April聽19. As if there weren鈥檛 enough to worry about, Swiss researchers have announced there are more detrimental germs in a man鈥檚 hirsute wonder than there are in dog鈥檚 hair.

Re: 鈥淧ublic transit should be free, Victoria council says,鈥 April 26. I believe there are certain routes where free or subsidized public transit would work, especially if the goal is to encourage people out of their vehicles.

April 27: Wedding photo was a聽refreshing change

Re: 鈥淪ri Lankan bombs deserved front page,鈥 letter, April 24. I was happy to see the front-page picture of federal Green Party Leader Elizabeth May鈥檚 wedding party. It was a refreshing change from the misery that so often appears there.

April 27: Food prices an issue for many people

Re: 鈥淭oo many can鈥檛 afford to buy healthy food,鈥 editorial, April 19. A woman in the produce section of a popular grocery store said to me that she could barely manage to buy produce, as the prices keep going up.

April 27: Credit Horgan for聽electing Kenney

I am just wondering if Premier John Horgan and B.C. Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver have received their thank-you card from Jason Kenney following the election that will put him in the premier鈥檚 chair of the province of Alberta.
