What on earth can Saanich, Esquimalt and Oak Bay be thinking? Artificial turf off-gasses for years. It provides no food for pollinators. Fine particles eventually wash into the ocean, compromising the food chain. Over the long haul, it is not cost-effective. In fact, we should be leaving some meridians and parks to natural weeds.
