In December 2018 and in the 2019 B.C. budget, the government announced with much fanfare a home-renovation rebate program that would benefit participants who make energy-efficiency upgrades to their homes.
However, this benefit is not applicable to multi-unit residential buildings such as condominiums. Are energy-efficiency upgrades to condominiums not beneficial to the overall home-renovation efficiency program? I am a taxpayer and resident of B.C. who contributes to the revenues of this province.
How is it that condominium owners were selectively excluded from this program of energy-efficiency upgrades?
