Re: “Nanaimo goes Green in federal byelection,” May 7.
Does it not seem a bit peculiar — even by extreme 91ԭ Island standards — that Green Party candidate Paul Manly was elected as MP when 63 per cent of the voters did not want him? Was it not the Greens and NDP who were madly in love with the proportional-representation nonsense?
Following this momentous victory, which doubled their numbers in Parliament, are the Greens now irrevocably tied to the post that they were first past?
