The urban carriage horse ride is a nostalgic form of recreation whose time has passed.
Horses are the species that humans have exploited the most in history: wartime, agriculture, medical research, transportation, sports, entertainment, and now also tourism.
Isn鈥檛 it time to give them the retirement they deserve? We are hopeful Victoria will follow Montreal鈥檚 example and ban horse-drawn carriages.
