Newly elected NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh appeared on B.C. morning TV news one day after his victory to express some thoughts on his party platform policies.
We wish to expose the blatantly false statement he made during the live interview. Singh stated: 鈥淭he fact that we鈥檝e got Trans Mountain where the private sector walked away saying we will not make a profit.鈥� The 鈥渇acts鈥� surrounding the Trans Mountain issue are absent in the interview.
Residents of Burnaby should abstain from voting in any election if they do not clearly understand why the pipeline expansion was temporarily halted. So what other issues could the voters be so uninformed about?
Voters should be discouraged from making perpetual visits to the voter鈥檚 booth where they simply intend to strike an 鈥淴鈥� on a ballot sheet while having little or no comprehension of the true issues behind the name on the ballot.
