Wednesday’s Times 91ԭ had a classic case of juxtaposition. On one page, Les Leyne wrote about B.C.’s recent referendum and said: “Trying to persuade people won’t swing the vote if the idea is a confusing proposition that leaves many questions to be decided later.” On the opposite page was a story about the Brexit mess and what happens when the outcome of a referendum question is not known in advance. B.C. voters were able to look across the pond and decide one “pig in a poke” was enough of a lesson.
