Thanks to Jack Knox for the column on gas-price “gouging.” All those people who sit in traffic morning and night could instantly cut their gas costs in half by getting into the car that is sitting in traffic next to them.
We all start from different places but end up on the same road going to the same place. Why not car-share? Think about it: Half the gas, more money left at the end of the month, half the cars on the road each day, faster trip times, and maybe make a new friend, or not.
If you’re just in it to save money, you wouldn’t even have to talk to each other.
We all know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. Government intervention and government handouts are not going to solve this problem. This is on us. We need to change our behaviour.
