It seems rather obvious from Sunday鈥檚 letters that there is a whole lot of denial going on about the Alberta election.
I say if Alberta premier-designate Jason Kenney shuts off the taps, B.C. Premier John Horgan, Attorney General David Eby and the NDP are gone. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be left to referee the fighting kids, and Horgan can鈥檛 win. That was obvious from the start.
This blunder on Horgan鈥檚 part is a repeat of Glen Clark鈥檚 seabed challenge, which, of course, he lost. If gas goes much higher or if the Albertans do shut off the pipeline, the torches and pitchforks will come out. I see a rout like the one that happened to the NDP in 2001.
Dilbit floats and Horgan is sunk.
