Victoria police stepped in Friday night after a report that a firearm was produced during an argument about social distancing and alleged COVID-19 symptoms.
Officers were called to a multi-unit residential building in the 800-block of Fisgard Street about 8 p.m., said Victoria police Const. Cam MacIntyre.
鈥淭he caller told us that some people in the building had COVID-19 symptoms and that a resident of the building confronted other residents about not following social-isolation protocols.鈥
When police arrived they evacuated the affected floors of the building and located a suspect, who was taken into custody. Two replica firearms were seized.
