Victoria police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a young woman suspected of defrauding a Victoria bank of $20,000.
On Jan. 26, a woman deposited a cheque at a Victoria bank, then withdrew $20,000 before the bank realized that it was a fraudulent transaction.
The suspect is described as white, and 20 to 30 years old with long brown and blond hair. She was wearing a dark jacket with a fur-lined hood.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call the Victoria Police Department’s non-emergency line at 250-995-7654, extension 1.
