A woman was taken to hospital Saturday evening after her motorcycle was hit by a car on Shelbourne Street.
The 49-year-old Saanich woman was riding her motorcycle southbound in front of the University Heights Shopping Centre when a vehicle began to turn left into the plaza and hit her.
The woman was thrown onto the road by the collision and was taken to Victoria General Hospital.
She suffered a mild concussion and had facial and lower body injuries.
A 74-year-old Saanich man was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for failing to yield to the motorcycle.
He was fined $167.
