A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing early Friday in downtown Nanaimo, police say.
The man, who was stabbed near Fitzwilliam at Wesley streets sometime before 3:30 a.m. Friday, refused to give officers a description of his assailant, Nanaimo RCMP said in a statement.
The man was treated on scene and then taken to Nanaimo hospital by paramedics.
Police dogs were deployed but were unable to locate a suspect, RCMP said.
The investigation is ongoing.
