Police are investigating the theft of more than $6,000 in cigarettes from a convenience store.
On Friday afternoon, an employee of AM2PM, located at Burnside and Harriet roads, purchased a bulk load of cigarettes from Costco in Langford.
The employee returned to the store at 2 p.m. and unloaded the cigarettes in a storage area.
Police said the cigarettes were believed to have been stolen within 15 to 30 minutes.
Investigators are looking into several incidents on 91原创 Island where Costco customers buying bulk cigarettes became victims of theft.
