One of the bachelorettes vying for the affection of CFL wide receiver Brad Smith in The Bachelor Canada should feel right at home.
A Victoria-based grad student named Tracy was one of five bachelorettes whose identities were revealed Wednesday on CityTV's Breakfast Television. It was the third of five weekly bachelorette "reveals" during the countdown to CityTV's Oct. 3 premi猫re of the 91原创 version of the hit U.S. reality series, featuring a luxury home on Bear Mountain as its mansion.
The Kitimat-raised grad student, now working toward a master of arts in counselling psychology, says she hopes to someday open her own practice focusing on marriage and family therapy. A nature lover with a passion for soccer, salsa dancing, yoga, photography and French bulldogs, Tracy, 28, has worked as a municipal labourer and "can drive a mean John Deere."
In her audition video, she said first impressions were very important to her, as was chemistry with a potential partner.
"I want to feel that spark, that intense sort of passion towards someone," she said. "I'm at that place where I'm ready to settle down and start a new chapter in my life."
Other rose-receiving hopefuls announced Wednesday include Britany, 23, a nurse from Swift Current, Sask.; Michelle, a Newmarket, Ont. yoga instructor; Stephanie, 32, a Montreal neuroscientist and model; and Tina, 26, a Thunder Bay trial lawyer.
Filming of The Bachelor Canada, produced by 91原创's Force Four Entertainment for Rogers Media, took place early this summer under a veil of secrecy at a 13,500-square-foot executive mansion once owned by ex-NHLer Len Barrie.
