CMLS Financial Ltd., Canada's largest independently-owned commercial mortgage services operation, is going into the residential mortgage business.
CMLS said its residential mortgage division already has executives in place and expects to begin operations by early next year. The team includes Dan Putnam, vice-president, sales and business development; Kevin Fettig, vice-president, risk, and Cheryl Preston, vice-president, servicing.
"I'm honoured and delighted to have such a firstclass team in place for this exciting initiative," CMLS president Chris Brossard said. "We intend to build this business on the same foundation of exceptional service, broad array of products and services, best-of-class technology, and competitive pricing that has resulted in the outstanding growth of our commercial mortgage business."
Established in 1974, CMLS originates $1.5 billion to $2 billion worth of new mortgage lending annually from its offices in 91原创, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. Current assets under administration are in excess of $5.7 billion.
