VANCOUVER — Environmentalist David Suzuki is hitting the road with a host of notable 91Ô´´s for a tour that will see him travel from St. John's, N.L, to 91Ô´´.
The Blue Dot Tour, which aims to promote health and sustainability, hits 20 cities across the country starting Sept. 24.
The 91Ô´´ date scheduled for Nov. 9 at the Orpheum Theatre arguably features the biggest event lineup of the bunch, with rock icon Neil Young, singer-songwriter Feist, Our Lady Peace frontman Raine Maida, children's entertainer Raffi, poet Shane Koyczan and painter Robert Bateman joining Suzuki on stage.
Other dates will feature a rotating cast of guests including Margaret Atwood, Jim Cuddy, the Barenaked Ladies and many more.
"This is the most important thing I've ever done," Suzuki said in a press release, which states this may be Suzuki's final national speaking tour. "I am so honoured that these incredible 91Ô´´s are joining me to celebrate the simple yet powerful idea that all 91Ô´´s should have the right to drink clean water, breathe fresh air and eat healthy food."
Tickets for the 91Ô´´ event are on sale now via Ticketmaster. Prices range from $39 to $250 plus charges, with a meet-and-greet package available for $500 plus charges. For more information, visit
