At least 10 anti-Kinder Morgan pipeline project protesters have been apprehended by police Sunday on Burnaby Mountain.

But with two of those taken into custody by police being just 11 years old, they were warned instead of being arrested.

Sunday鈥檚 apprehensions bring to 63 the total number of people either arrested or taken into custody.

Amongst those arrested Sunday was long-time marijuana activist David Malmo-Levine.

The ongoing protests attracted several hundred people, who continued up the mountain even after the noon hour arrests and apprehensions.

The protesters were young and old, male and female.

Some brought their dogs, some brought supplies of food.

One woman even carried a log up the road.

There was even a piper.

Kinder Morgan has been conducting drilling and survey work related to its proposal to expand its Trans Mountain pipeline, which transports Alberta oil to a terminal in Burnaby.

The first arrests happened on Thursday morning, and about five dozen protesters have been arrested since then.

Some of the arrests have followed physical clashes with police, but many have involved protesters who deliberately crossed the police line after announcing their intention to be arrested.
