Police look for witnesses after man attacked at Pandora and Quadra, left lying in bike lane

Victoria police are looking for the person who attacked a man downtown, leaving him with life-altering injuries. Officers were called to the northeast corner of Pandora Avenue and Quadra Street just after 8:30 p.m. Aug.

Victoria police are looking for the person who attacked a man downtown, leaving him with life-altering injuries.

Officers were called to the northeast corner of Pandora Avenue and Quadra Street just after 8:30 p.m. Aug. 21 after a report that someone had been assaulted, said Victoria police spokesman Bowen Osoko. The victim was found lying in the bike lane. His injuries were so bad, he couldn鈥檛 tell officers what happened.

A witness told police the victim was blindsided by an attacker and left lying on the pavement.

The victim was transported to hospital for treatment. His injuries are described as non-life-threatening but life-altering.

The attacked is described as a Caucasian man around 50 years old. He had shoulder-length grey hair and was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt.

Investigators are asking any witnesses to come forward with information.
